Beavers (6 to 8 years)
Beavers are our youngest members and meet for an hour per week. They enjoy all that Scouting has to offer; being introduced to outdoor activities, having the opportunity to be creative, explore their local community and experience the excitement of a Beaver Scout Sleepover with their friends.
Who are Beavers?
Beavers are young people aged 6 to 8 who:

Master new skills and try new things

Have fun and go on adventures

Make friends

Are curious about the world around them

Help others and make a difference, on their own doorstops and beyond
Every week, they gather in groups called Beaver Colonies to hop, skip and jump their way through lots of different games and activities – achieving anything they set their minds to and having lots of fun along the way.

How do we join Beavers?
Sign up for our reserve list. (Children must be at least 5 to be added to the reserve list)
Why do you have a reserve list?
Beavers is very popular and nationally there are 60,000 young people waiting to join. Places are limited as we have a shortage of adult helpers. But parents and other adults can help regardless of skillset or availability, there’s an opportunity for everyone to contribute, to enable more young people to join. Find out how you can help.
